Ancient Breath

A limited edition wellness experience. An ancient granite stone with a natural hinoki scent created by The Good Thing in collaboration with curator Gonzalo Herrero. 

In Ancient times, granite was revered by the Mayans and Aboriginal tribes who considered it to be a symbol of protection with sacred and magical qualities. This stone is the result of volcanic eruptions that took place hundreds of millions of years ago. Earth forces including deep underground heat and very slow pressure, gave shape to this precious object.

A simple small granite block inviting us to reconsider the fast pace of our lives. A sensorial and meditative experience connecting us with nature and the Earth. The smell of pure hinoki scent will make you travel to the natural context of the Japanese forests. A natural material often used for building temples and shrines, as an incense, in bath salts and to make rotenburo, the big, open-air tubs at Japanese hot springs. An uplifting, purifying and almost sanctifying smell to transform your daily rituals.
